Escaphiella schmidti       Get publication



            Male (PBI_OON 3013). Total length 1.6. CEPHALOTHORAX: Carapace median tubercule at the posterior margin of the pars cephalica; non-marginal pars cephalica setae presence of a row needle-like setae near carapace margin. Mouthparts: setae paturon with anterolateral keel and one large plumose seta on anterior and posterior face at middle of fang base.. Endites anteriorly deeply depressed with transeverse ridge. ABDOMEN: dorsum soft portions faint stripped pigmentation under scuta. Postepigastric scutum lateral side of postepigastric scutum smooth. Spinnerets: PMS: pMS present (seen under compound microscope). LEGS: Leg spines . Trichobothria examined with Compound microscope. GENITALIA: Palp bulb prolateral surface with stridulatory file..

            Female (PBI_OON_0026834). Total length 1.8. As in male except as noted. CEPHALOTHORAX: Carapace median tubercule at the posterior margin of the pars cephalica; non-marginal pars cephalica setae presence of a row needle-like setae near carapace margin. Mouthparts: setae paturon with anterolateral keel and one large plumose seta on anterior and posterior face at middle of fang base.. Female palp spines absent; prolateral surface of palpal femur with stridulatory file, palpal tarsus with distal setae forming a distal patch of setae; trichobothria tibia with three dorsal trichobothria. ABDOMEN: dorsum soft portions faint stripped pigmentation. Postepigastric scutum lateral side of postepigastric scutum smooth. Spinnerets: PMS: pMS present (seen under compound microscope). LEGS: Leg spines . Trichobothria examined with Compound microscope.
