Gamasomorpha taprobanica Simon, 1893d: 303 (Dmf).

            Male (PBI_OON 5526). Total length 2.38. CEPHALOTHORAX: Carapace orange-brown, without any pattern, ovoid in dorsal view, pars cephalica slightly elevated in lateral view, anteriorly narrowed to 0.49 times its maximum width or less, with rounded posterolateral corners, posterolateral edge without pits, posterior margin not bulging below posterior rim, anterolateral corners without extension or projections, posterolateral surface without spikes, surface of elevated portion of pars cephalica smooth, sides granulate, thorax without depressions, fovea absent, without radiating rows of pits; lateral margin straight, rebordered, without denticles; plumose setae near posterior margin of pars thoracica absent; non-marginal pars cephalica setae needle-like; non-marginal pars thoracica setae absent; marginal setae needle-like. Clypeus margin unmodified, straight in front view, vertical in lateral view, high, ALE separated from edge of carapace by their radius or more, median projection absent; setae present, needle-like. Chilum absent. Eyes six, well developed, ALE largest, ALE oval, PME circular, PLE circular; posterior eye row recurved from above; ALE separated by their radius to diameter, ALE-PLE separated by less than ALE radius, PME touching, PLE-PME separated by less than PME radius. Sternum longer than wide, orange-brown, uniform, fused to carapace, median concavity absent, with radial furrows between coxae I-II, II-III, III-IV, furrow with row of large pits, radial furrow opposite coxae III absent, surface smooth, without pits, microsculpture absent, sickle-shaped structures absent, anterior margin with continuous transverse groove, posterior margin not extending posteriorly of coxae IV, anterior corner unmodified, lateral margin with infra-coxal grooves and anterior and posterior openings, distance between coxae approximately equal, extensions of pre-coxal triangles absent, lateral margins unmodified, without posterior hump; setae sparse, needle-like, evenly scattered, originating from surface, without hair tufts. Mouthparts: Chelicerae, endites and labium orange-brown. Chelicerae straight, anterior face unmodified; fangs without tooth-like projections, directed medially, shape normal, without prominent basal process, tip unmodified; setae needle-like, densest medially; paturon distal region unmodified, promargin unmodified, inner margin unmodified. Labium triangular, not fused to sternum, same as sternum in sclerotization; subdistal portion with unmodified setae. Endites distally excavated, serrula present in single row, anteromedian tip unmodified, posteromedian part unmodified, same as sternum in sclerotization. ABDOMEN: ovoid, without long posterior extension, rounded posteriorly. Book lung covers small, elliptical, without setae, anterolateral edge with tubercle, smooth, sligtly elevated from surface. Posterior spiracles connected by groove. Pedicel tube medium, with small, dorsolateral, triangular extensions, scuto-pedicel region with widely W-shaped scutal ridge, scutum extending far dorsal of pedicel, plumose hairs absent, matted setae on anterior ventral abdomen in pedicel area absent, cuticular outgrowths near pedicel absent. Dorsal scutum strongly sclerotized, orange-brown, without color pattern, covering full length of abdomen, no soft tissue visible from above, not fused to epigastric scutum, middle surface punctate, sides punctate, anterior half without projecting denticles. Epigastric scutum strongly sclerotized, surrounding pedicel, not protruding, small lateral sclerites absent. Postepigastric scutum strongly sclerotized, orange-brown, long, semicircular, covering nearly full length of abdominal length, not fused to epigastric scutum, anterior margin unmodified, with short posteriorly directed lateral apodemes. Spinneret scutum present, enlarged into platelet. Dorsum setae present, serrate. Epigastric area setae uniform, serrate. Postepigastric area setae present, serrate. Spinneret scutum with fringe of long setae. Dense patch of setae anterior to spinnerets absent. Interscutal membrane with setae. Colulus present. LEGS: pale orange, without color pattern; femur IV not thickened, same size as femora I-III, patella plus tibia I shorter than carapace, tibia I unmodified, tibia IV specialized hairs on ventral apex present, tibia IV ventral scopula absent. Leg spines absent. Tarsi I to IV superior claws tooth not examined in detail. Tarsi I to IV without inferior claw. GENITALIA: Epigastric region with sperm pore small, oval, situated at level of anterior spiracles, unmodified; furrow without omega-shaped insertions, without setae. Palp normal size, not strongly sclerotized, right and left palps symmetrical, proximal segments pale orange; embolus dark, prolateral excavation absent, lammelar embolus with subdistal retrolateral spermatic oppening, distaly stout and indented; mesal embolic acessory apendage shorter than embolus with dorsoanterior row of small teeth and a ventral projected lammelar appendix; conductor (basal piece) distally stout and subquadrate, with a large semicircular ventral escavation.; trochanter normal size, unmodified; femur normal size, two or more times as long as trochanter, without posteriorly rounded lateral dilation, attaching to patella basally; patella shorter than femur, not enlarged, without prolateral row of ridges, setae unmodified; tibia trichobothria with 3 trichobothria; cymbium pale orange, narrow in dorsal view, not fused with bulb, not extending beyond distal tip of bulb, plumose setae absent, without stout setae, with distal patch of setae; bulb yellow, 1 to 1.5 times as long as cymbium, stout, elongated.

            Female (PBI_OON 5526). Total length 2.39. As in male except as noted. CEPHALOTHORAX: Sternum anterior margin unmodified. Mouthparts: setae sparse setae not as dense as in male. Female palp claws absent; spines absent; tarsus unmodified, patella without prolateral row of ridges. ABDOMEN: Book lung covers smooth, sligtly elevated from surface. Epigastric scutum without lateral joints. LEGS: Leg spines absent. Tarsi I to IV superior claws tooth not examined in detail. GENITALIA: Shape: female genitalia with no external features.. Ventral view: female genitalia with independent internal genital sclerite semi-attached to the anterior border of the abdominal ventral plate; anterior apodems of genital independent sclerite present, reachig to the anterior portion of the spiracle interconnecting grove; receptaculum well delimited, squared, elongated, anterior portion position around the area between the anterior border of ventral plate and tracheal spiracle interconnecting grove, as long as posterior spiracle apodems; robust dorsal glandular duct as long as receptaculum,connecting from the anterior "T" sclerite to the dorsal part of the receptaculum at some point at the posterior 3/4 portion of this one..
