Male (PBI_OON00012296). Total length 1.46. CEPHALOTHORAX: Carapace orange-brown, without any pattern, ovoid in dorsal view, pars cephalica slightly elevated in lateral view, anteriorly narrowed to 0.49 times its maximum width or less, with rounded posterolateral corners, posterolateral edge without pits, posterior margin not bulging below posterior rim, anterolateral corners without extension or projections, posterolateral surface without spikes, surface of elevated portion of pars cephalica smooth, sides strongly reticulate, thorax without depressions, fovea absent, reticulation on carapace surface sides partly interrupted by smooth areas; carapace margin with sluice, reaching level of coxa I; carapace colour: 136 Raw Sienna (Smithe, 1975: Naturalist's Color Guide, AMNH), without radiating rows of pits; lateral margin straight, rebordered, with blunt denticles; plumose setae near posterior margin of pars thoracica absent; non-marginal pars cephalica setae light, needle-like, present in u-shaped row, setae arranged in a long u-shaped row reaching posterior edge of pars cephalica; each setae originating from the middle of a pitlike structure with partly swollen edges, especially pronounced at posterior edge of pars cephalica, where hair bases may appear denticle-like; non-marginal pars thoracica setae absent; marginal setae light, needle-like, denticles at carapace margin represent modified hair bases; setae originating from anterior face of denticles, pointing anteriorly. Clypeus margin strongly rebordered, sinuous in front view, vertical in lateral view, high, ALE separated from edge of carapace by their radius or more, median projection absent; setae present, light, needle-like, a pair of long, needle-like setae on each half of the clypeus, with the inner ones longer than the outer ones. Chilum absent. Eyes six, well developed, ALE largest, all eyes oval; posterior eye row straight from above, procurved from front; ALE separated by their radius to diameter, ALE-PLE separated by less than ALE radius, PME touching throughout most of their length, PLE-PME separated by less than PME radius. Sternum longer than wide, orange-brown, uniform, fused to carapace, median concavity absent, with radial furrows between coxae I-II, II-III, III-IV, radial furrow opposite coxae III absent, surface coarsely reticulate, without pits, microsculpture everywhere but middle, sickle-shaped structures absent, anterior margin with continuous transverse groove, posterior margin extending posteriorly beyond anterior edges of coxae IV as single extension, anterior corner unmodified, lateral margin with infra-coxal grooves and anterior and posterior openings, distance between coxae approximately equal, lateral margins unmodified, without posterior hump, infra-coxal grooves anterior and posterior with a pair of openings; radial furrows between coxae I-II, II-III and III-IV only very weakly developed, rather appearing as indentions of sternum margin; sternum microsculptures lobed; sternum surface setae originating from middle of microsculptures, smooth middle strip without setae; sternum setae rather sparse; posterior edge of sternum protruding as single extension, covered with small blunt denticles; setae sparse, light, needle-like, evenly scattered, originating from surface, without hair tufts. Mouthparts: Chelicerae, endites and labium orange-brown. Chelicerae straight, chelicerae posterior margin of inner surface proximally modified to a ridge with median slit, covering about 2/3 of margin length, distally possessing a knob-like apophysis; promargin with row of flattened setae in combination with plumose setae, distally extending into a short inwards pointing tooth-like projection; base of tooth-like projection posteriorly with a thick and long plumose seta; inner margin of paturon anterior face distally with small toothlike projection (outgrowth of paturon promargin), pointing inwards; proximal part of anterior face of paturon convex in lateral view; without teeth on both promargin and retromargin; fangs without tooth-like projections, directed posteriorly, shape normal, without prominent basal process, tip unmodified; setae light, needle-like, evenly scattered, anterior face of cheliceraes with few, rather evenly scattered setae; paturon inner margin with scattered setae, distal region unmodified, promargin with row of flattened setae, inner margin unmodified, laminate groove absent. Labium triangular, fused to sternum, anterior margin deeply incised, same as sternum in sclerotization; subdistal portion with unmodified setae, labium ventral surface with typical setae pattern: two rather distal setae i.e. one on each side of incision and a more or less transverse line of three more proximal setae posterior to incision. Endites distally not excavated, anteromedian tip unmodified, posteromedian part unmodified, same as sternum in sclerotization, outer margin subdistally with a pair of long setae, distally flattened and feathered and tips bent inwards. ABDOMEN: ovoid, without long posterior extension, rounded posteriorly, inter-scutal membrane rows of small sclerotized platelets absent posteriorly; dorsum soft portions white, without color pattern. Book lung covers large, elliptical, without setae, anterolateral edge unmodified, book lung covers large, elliptical to dumbbell or pear-shaped (sides concave to almost parallel), about 4 times longer than wide. Posterior spiracles connected by groove. Pedicel tube short, ribbed, scuto-pedicel region with widely oval scutal ridge, scutum not extending far dorsal of pedicel, plumose hairs absent, matted setae on anterior ventral abdomen in pedicel area absent, cuticular outgrowths near pedicel absent, dorsal part of epigastric scutum with subterminal ridge (=widely oval scutal ridge), scuto-pedicel region with slightly modified hair bases (appearing as small denticles). Dorsal scutum strongly sclerotized, orange-brown, without color pattern, covering full length of abdomen, no soft tissue visible from above, not fused to epigastric scutum, middle surface smooth, sides smooth, anterior half without projecting denticles, surface smooth, but bases of setae appearing pitlike, giving a punctate impression. Epigastric scutum strongly sclerotized, surrounding pedicel, not protruding, small lateral sclerites absent. Postepigastric scutum strongly sclerotized, orange-brown, long, semicircular, covering nearly full length of abdominal length, fused to epigastric scutum, anterior margin unmodified, with long posteriorly directed lateral apodemes. Spinneret scutum present, incomplete ring. Supra-anal scutum absent. Dorsum setae present, light, needle-like. Epigastric area setae uniform, light, needle-like. Postepigastric area setae present, light, needle-like. Spinneret scutum with fringe of needle-like setae. Dense patch of setae anterior to spinnerets absent. Interscutal membrane with setae. Abdomen setae appearing needle-like on stereo-microscope level, SEM reveals a slightly plumose microstructure. Colulus present. LEGS: pale orange, without color pattern; femur IV not thickened, same size as femora I-III, patella plus tibia I shorter than carapace, tibia I unmodified, tibia IV specialized hairs on ventral apex absent, tibia IV ventral scopula absent, metatarsi I and II meso-apical comb absent , metatarsi III and IV weak ventral scopula absent, femora in dorsal view: Femur IV recurved, Femora I-II procurved, Femur III slightly procurved, tibiae special hairs on ventral apex of tibia III & IV thin, plumose, distally flattened, with fringed lateral margins and spatulate tips, metatarsi special hairs on ventral apex of metatarsi III & IV short, dagger-like, with finely serrated ridges on surface and coarsely serrated lateral margins; dorsal apex of metatarsi I–IV with a short, shieldlike appendage. Leg spines absent. Tarsi I to IV superior claws tooth not examined in detail. Tarsi I to IV without inferior claw. Trichobothria examined with Compound microscope; tibia: each with three; metatarsus: each with one; base longitudinally narrowed, aperture internal texture grate-like, hood covered by numerous low, closely spaced ridges. Tarsal organ thoma et al. 2014: "Tarsal organ (to; examined by means of SEM imaging in two species, not all legs) exposed, not capsulate, on tarsus I with 3 raised receptors (A. baltenspergerae sp. nov.: Fig. 3F; A. helvetiorum sp. nov.: Fig. 24H), on tarsus III with 2 raised receptors (A. baltenspergerae sp. nov.: Fig. 3G).". GENITALIA: Epigastric region with sperm pore small, oval, situated at level of posterior spiracles, rebordered; furrow without omega-shaped insertions, without setae. Palp normal size, not strongly sclerotized, right and left palps symmetrical, proximal segments pale orange; embolus dark, prolateral excavation absent; trochanter normal size, unmodified; femur normal size, two or more times as long as trochanter, without posteriorly rounded lateral dilation, attaching to patella basally; patella shorter than femur, not enlarged, without prolateral row of ridges, setae unmodified; tibia trichobothria with 3 trichobothria; cymbium pale orange, ovoid in dorsal view, fused with bulb but with clearly defined seam between, not extending beyond distal tip of bulb, plumose setae absent, without stout setae, with distal patch of setae; bulb pale orange, 1 to 1.5 times as long as cymbium, stout, tapering apically, distal part bulb "gamasomorphic"; anterodorsal with small conical extension; Bulbus distally with two appendages, the more dorsal embolus and a more ventral second appendage (“conductor”): embolus dark, lamellar, about half as long as bulb, second appendage tapering towards pointed tip, about as long as embolus; embolus-conductor-complex mesially bent in dorsal view, fitting into the continuous transverse groove at anterior margin of sternum. Spermophor easily visible using a compound microscope, spermophor-opening lying on retrolateral apex of embolus.

Clypeus setae a pair of long, needle-like setae on each half of the clypeus, with the inner ones longer than the outer ones. Eyes posterior eye row recurved from above; PME touching for less than half their length. Sternum radial furrows between coxae I-II, II-III and III-IV only very weakly developed, rather appearing as indentions of sternum margin; sternum microsculptures lobed; sternum surface setae originating from middle of microsculptures; posterior edge of sternum protruding as single extension, covered with small blunt denticles. Mouthparts: Chelicerae distal end of anterior face of paturon without toothlike projection (see male); setae anterior face of cheliceraes with few, rather evenly scattered setae. Labium labium ventral surface with typical setae pattern: two rather distal setae i.e. one on each side of incision and a more or less transverse line of three more proximal setae posterior to incision. Endites serrula present in single row, outer margin subdistally with a pair of long setae, distally bent inwards. Female palp claws absent; spines absent; tarsus unmodified, patella without prolateral row of ridges. ABDOMEN: Book lung covers elongated, about 4x longer than wide, rather dumbbell- or pear-shaped. Pedicel dorsal part of epigastric scutum with subterminal ridge (=widely oval scutal ridge), scuto-pedicel region with slightly modified hair bases (appearing as small denticles). Dorsal scutum surface smooth, but bases of setae appearing pitlike, giving a punctate impression. Epigastric scutum without lateral joints, posterolaterally with longitudinal row of ridges. Postepigastric scutum not fused to epigastric scutum, with short posteriorly directed lateral apodemes, lateral apodemes rather short looking at stereomicroscope level, but in fact rather long (though posterior part rather weakly sclerotized). LEGS: femora in dorsal view: Femur IV recurved, Femora I-II procurved, Femur III slightly procurved, tibiae special hairs on ventral apex of tibia III & IV thin, plumose, distally flattened, with fringed lateral margins and spatulate tips, metatarsi special hairs on ventral apex of metatarsi III & IV short, dagger-like, with finely serrated ridges on surface and coarsely serrated lateral margins; dorsal apex of metatarsi I–IV with a short, shieldlike appendage. Leg spines absent. Tarsi I to IV superior claws tooth not examined in detail. Trichobothria examined with Compound microscope. GENITALIA: Dorsal view: thoma et al. 2014: "Dorsal view (Figs. 25G–H): receptaculum (re) triangular shaped with rounded posterior edge, laterally framed by long rectangular sclerites (apodemes) (lap); apodemes distally rather thin and thus looking rather short in ventral view at stereomicroscope level; globular appendix (gap) lying dorsally of receptaculum about half as long as receptaculum; lateral and median part of receptaculum dorsally covered with papillae (pap); a transverse sclerite (ts) lies anteriorly to the receptaculum and bears medially a nail-like structure (na).".
