Responsible for collections originating from Africa
Professional Experience:
Revisionary work on Zodariidae on species and genus level on global scale.
Revisionary work on genera of African Zodariidae, Ctenidae, Lycosidae, Corinnidae, Linyphiidae.
Occasional alpha-taxonomic work on African spider taxa.
Family level overviews of the Araneae on African and global scale (in collaboration with A. Dippenaar-Schoeman).

Ecological work on spiders concerning biodiversity assessment in African biota; density measurements of particular groups; resilience of spider fauna in forest habitats.

Responsible for canopy spider project of RMCA.
