Becky is the MIF's Senior Laboratory Technician and holds a B.A. in Geology with a concentration in Chemistry from Oberlin College, Oberlin, Ohio. Major research projects include investigation of methane seep authigenesis and the faunal analysis and paleoecology of the Cretaceous Tepee Butte Limestones, Central Colorado. In 2004 she held a position as a Science intern and collaborated on the 2004 "Women and Science" exhibit at the Bruce Museum of Arts and Sciences in Greenwich, CT. Prior to joining the AMNH, Becky worked as a Measurements and Characterization Technician and maintained an EM lab at IBM's T.J. Watson Research and Design Facility in the Advanced Lithography Division.

Emily graduated from SUNY Purchase College with a Bachelor’s in Biology. Under her advisor, Dr. Jan Robert Factor, Emily utilized both scanning and transmission electron microscopes to study the digestive gland of the American Lobster. Her research contributed to New York State’s Sea Grant initiative to find the cause of the 1999 American Lobster die-off in Long Island Sound. Emily has completed two separate internships with Cornell Cooperate Extension Marine Program.
