Dr. Gelonia Dent is the Manager of Science Computing at the American Museum of Natural History, NYC. She is responsible for the strategic planning, management and maintenance of the high-end parallel computing systems for the Science Division at the Museum. She earned her degree in Applied Mathematics from Brown University. In addition to her expertise in HPC, she has research interests in applications of fluid dynamics and enjoys teaching.
