This element of the project deals with the XML markup of taxonomic publications, and more precisely, tries to identify which schema will be best suited for this process.
As an example, we have taken an AMNH Novitates and marked it up using a simple publication DTD. In our quest to further the granularity of this markup process, we have marked it up using our proposed schema for markup taxonomic literature
