The Research Informatics Group provides web-application programming, system administration, and database design and programming services to the science departments of the AMNH, many of which are linked from research.amnh.org

Online taxonomic catalogs

• The taxonomic catalog application of the Planetary Biodiversity Inventory Project.
• The Amphibian Species of the World catalog.

Specimen databases

• The database of the Ambrose Monell Cryo Collection
• The type specimen database of the Department of Invertebrate Zoology.

Web and database server administration

We administer most, but not all, of the the Museum's science department web and database servers, from their operating systems to their applications. We do not administer the public webservers (www, etc.), ftp, mail, or file servers.
