Components
The AMNH and the
Department of Ichthyology have a strong commitment to
training doctoral students, postdoctoral fellows,
summer undergraduate interns, and high school
students in collection-based systematic ichthyology,
conservation, and biogeography. Additionally, the
museum offers competitive annual grants for students
involved in marine research and research of North and
Central American organisms. Finally, there are annual
collection-study grants available for students
interested in examining specimens in the AMNH
Department of Ichthyology. Please contact the
