Philautus viridis Manamendra-Arachchi and Pethiyagoda, 2005, Raffles Bull. Zool., Suppl., 12: 235. Holotype: WHT 5127, by original designation. Type locality: "Agra Arboretum, near Agarapatana, alt. 1555 m (06° 51′ N, 80° 41′ E)", Sri Lanka.

Philautus pardus Meegaskumbura, Manamendra-Arachchi, Schneider, and Pethiyagoda, 2007, Zootaxa, 1397: 3. Holotype: BMNH 1947.2.7.96, by original designation (a syntype of Ixalus variabilis Günther, 1859. Type locality: "Sri Lanka" (imprecise locality). Synonymy by Wijayathilaka, Perera, Manamendra-Arachchi, Ellepola, Adhikari, Wijayasekara, Wickramasinghe, Prathap, and Meegaskumbura, 2023, Zootaxa, 5224: 459.

Pseudophilautus pardus was considered extinct by Batuwita, Udugampala, De Silva, Diao, and Edirisinghe, 2019, J. Anim. Diversity, 1: 48, and Jayawardena, Senevirathne, Wijayathilaka, Ukuwela, Manamendra-Arachchi, and Meegaskumbura, 2017, Ceylon J. Sci., 46 (Special issue): 48. Wijayathilaka, Perera, Manamendra-Arachchi, Ellepola, Adhikari, Wijayasekara, Wickramasinghe, Prathap, and Meegaskumbura, 2023, Zootaxa, 5224: 459–472, rediscovered an individual of this species and via mtDNA data placed it as a synonym of Pseudophilautus viridis
