Four research groups call section 9 labs as their research home. Prendini group concentrate their research efforts on scorpions and solifugae. Rodriguez group's main focus is to research marine invertebrates. Sparks group takes pride in doing the genomics work on fishes. Lastly, Wheeler group sends its time studying invertebrate genomes and then uses its expertise in bioinformatics to discover new relationships between the groups of animals. Lately, students from Richard Gilder Graduate School have joined these lab groups to get hands-on experience with cutting e-edge research.
