WORKER - (drawn specimen from Nigeria) TL 2.1 mm, HL 0.56, HW 0.40, SL 0.24
Holotype and paratypes 2.0-2.2 mm (Bolton, 1971a, 1983).
No preocular notch. Mandibles with a very broad base, the first preapical tooth small but the second larger. Ventral apical tooth smaller than the dorsal. Sculpturation of head and alitrunk of fine dense puncturation, weaker on the alitrunk. Gaster and pedicel shiny. Dorsum of alitrunk with five pairs of long erect, clavate hairs on the dorsolateral margin; erect clavate hairs relatively abundant on the pedicel and gaster. Dorsal surfaces of the head and alitrunk with abundant, short spatulate hairs; dorsolateral margin of head with a fringe of longer curved hairs. Spongiform appendages massively developed on the pedicel as are the lamellae below the propodeal teeth. Colour dull yellow to brownish-yellow.

In Nigeria, from CRIN (B. Bolton), noting that it was arboreal but had not been found in pkd sampling. Also found by me from nests in rot-holes in cocoa tree trunks (both in Bolton, 1983).
