Dorylus (Rhogmus) savagei Emery

return to key {link to the Hymenoptera Name Server} Type location Gabon and Congo (Emery, 1895j: 738, illustrated, male); subspecies mucronatus (Emery, 1899e: 462, male) from Nigeria, Lagos, supplied by Staudinger & Bang-Haas; male only known (see Bolton, 1995) .

Wheeler (1922) also has it from Nigeria at Warri, Forcados River (Henry Fischer), Congo and Zaïre. Forel (1911g) found a male in the Congo Museum from Zaïre, Lukula, by Daniel.

From Guinea a single male was taken at Kéoulenta, Mt. Nimba (Bernard, 1952).
