Type location Tajikistan (Mayr, 1877: 20, worker &
queen; Forel, 1904b: 372, male; also Mayr, 1880: 39); location
Kisil-kum, Bairakum, Sarafschan Valley (Zarafshan Valley);
subspecies flavicapilla (Ruzkey, 1905b: 502, worker) from
Transcaspia, kaschgariensis (Forel, 1901h: 63,
worker) from Turkestan and kuznetzovi (Stärcke,
1935: 263, footnote, illustrated, worker; unavailable in HNS) from
Turkestan.
