Note the Arnold specimens were notably longer, TL 4.2-4,5 mm; than
those described by Weber, TL 3.8 mm.
The nomenclatorial oddity is due to prior naming, on an earlier
page, of Cerapachys cooperi by Arnold (1915: 14) and the
reduction of that to a junior synonym of Cerapachys afer Forel
