Bolton's modern description (1974a) is at
WORKER - TL 5.5-7.8 mm; described as variable but differentiated
by key features (Bolton, 1974a, illustrated, head, alitrunk and
variability of pronotal lateral teeth).
Known from Ile-Ife (J.T. Medler) (Bolton, 1974a) in Nigeria
but not represented in the CRIN collection.
In Ghana, it was found at Mt. Atewa by pkd (D. Leston)
and running up a moss-covered tree trunk in primary forest (B.
Bolton; O.W. Richards), and Mampong (O.W. Richards).
Otherwise, recorded widely across Afrotropical forests,
including many records from Zaïre (Bolton, 1974a). |
