Aenictus brazzai (Santschi)

return to key {link to the Hymenoptera Name Server} Type location Congo (Aenictus eugenii Em var. brazzai nov., in Santschi, 1910c: 355; raised to species by Santschi, 1924b: 204) from Brazzaville, collector A. Weiss; worker only described (see Bolton, 1995) .

Santschi (1910c and 1924b) gave brief descriptions; these are at {original description} and {original description}. This does not seem to me to be a convincing species and perhaps the specimens were no more than small eugenii.
