To secure your room, call International House
Admissions at 212 316-8436. There are single dorm rooms for $60 and larger
suites for $135 - $185 (~50 square meters). The rooms are already reserved for
the conference, and so mention that you're there for either the
Pencil, disk or meteoritics meetings. For details about the
rooms, see the page at the
International House.
The International House is located just northwest of Columbia University and
Central Park, with views overlooking the Hudson River and Riverside Park. There
is a pub in the basement. To get there, take the "1" subway to the 125th Street
station, walk south two blocks to LaSalle Street, west one block to Claremont
Avenue, and south one block to the International House.
We don't have much time left to secure the rooms, so please do this quickly.
Conference Location: American Museum of Natural History in Manhattan, which is
on the west side of Central Park at 81st street. To get into the museum, call
Jay at 310-266-3257. The meeting in in the "People's Center" on the 2nd
floor. The room will be locked overnight and so equipment can be left there.

Getting to New York
New York City has three airports, all reachable by subway.
John F. Kennedy airport: Take the airtrain to the A subway (Manhattan Beach station).
LaGuardia: Take the M60 bus to Manhattan. The M60 goes west through Harlem on 125th street.
When it turns south on Amsterdam, disembark and walk west on 125th one block to Broadway.
From there, go 2 blocks south to Lasalle, west one block to Claremont, and south half a block
to the International House.
Newark: Take the New Jersey railroad to Manhattan and Penn Station. From there, take the
1 subway to the station at 125th street and Broadway.
Walk 2 blocks south to Lasalle, west one block to Claremont, and south half a block
to the International House.
The International House is just to the northwest of Columbia university on
Claremont Avenue and Lasalle Street.
