Access Protocols

A fully detailed "visitors policies" document is posted on this site at the Collection Policies page

IMPORTANT NOTICE: The AMCC Collection Manager reserves the right to postpone or refuse access to the facilities if:

- no request of access has been introduced by the visitor within the time frame explained below

- the facilities are deemed too crowded

- there is an alarm situation in the facilities

- the AMCC staff is operating on hazardous material

- the request for the use of equipment is found unreasonable


Visiting the lab

Any AMNH staff member or external visitors wishing to tour the AMCC should give the Collection Manager a 24 hours notice prior to arrival.

Access for the Use of the Facilities and/or Equipment

The AMCC is putting its equipments at the disposition of qualified AMNH staff (including interns, postdocs and curatorial assistants) under conditions which can be found under the Use of Equipment Protocol.

Access to the AMCC facilities for the use of equipment must be requested 24 hours prior to use.

Access for Pick-up of Collection kits and/or loaned equipment

AMCC staff or external visitors wishing to pick up pre-arranged collection kits, or any equipment (such as dry shippers, etc) must notify the Collection Manager at least 24 hours before arrival in the facilities
