About

The mission of the Ambrose Monell Cryo Collection (AMCC) is to provide an accessible repository of frozen tissue specimens, collected and maintained under rigorously controlled conditions. In a time of massive species loss, such efforts are essential in order to preserve as comprehensive a record as possible of the earth's biodiversity.

The AMCC supports research by providing Tissue Loans, Field Collection Kits, and Dry Shippers to the scientific communities.

The AMCC is proud to partner with the US National Park Service (NPS) to be a repository for NPS tissue samples of any and all animal organisms. See samples within the specially designated National Park Service Collection.

**Please note that the samples are on loan from NPS to AMNH/AMCC in accordance with AMNH/NPS agreement**
